The ROBINSON museum is named for Florence Robinson who donated the funds to construct the museum.

The Elk County Historical Society’s Robinson Museum houses thousands of artifacts from Victorian clothing to an expansive archive of photographs and documents spanning the county’s nearly two-hundred year history.

Our research library consists of county cemetery records, census records, thousands of obituaries, Advocate and Democrat Newspapers, Ridgway Record microfilm tapes from 1903 to present, recorded oral family histories, county and township histories, school yearbooks, and town directories.
